ONE Architecture+Interiors designed this building to maintain 1 boundary wall on the ground floor. The purpose of this was to categorise this as a “renovation” for council purposes, allowing the maintenance of smaller side setbacks.
This home was designed for a growing family with very specific requirements and hobbies. A domed observatory with an operable roof was incorporated into the structure. Our brief also required us to make the façade virtually maintenance free without using brick and also to have the home generate and store its own power while also incorporating Feng Shui principles and capturing views over the Georges River.
